Brian Bovenzi, founder and CEO On November 3, 2008, I was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident that broke my neck, dislocated both shoulders, and almost claimed my right leg. Over the course of the next six years[if I remember correctly], my body slowly began to heal with the help of wonderful doctors, friends, and family. Eventually, I traded in my wheelchair for crutches, then replaced the crutches with a cane. After years of rehabilitation, I was able to use my misfortune to do what I love most —save animals.
